Signetics N82S129 replacement
micro structure hybrid to replace a Signetics N82S129 bipolar prom and that can be programmed same as Catalyst Semiconoductor CAT28C16A with adapter SH-265 for which I am looking for information.
Adapter that may allow to program a 16-pin hybrid IC which would
be a replacement of N82S129N bipolar prom
and that would be programmed with universal programmer by selecting Catalyst
Semiconductor CAT28C16A 24-pin parallel EEPROM device;
there should exist such adapter called Sh-265 but not easy to find information
about it : if you have any detail thank you to contact me.
If i compare the datasheets for that one and the C28c16, then i stuck with the differences that the n82s129n has CE1 and CE2
The Cat28c16A has CE OE and WE
I try to find out a schematic how the white eeprom could fit in this picture.
The 24 pin Cat28c16 has more in and output porta so those can fall off and
then you end up with nearly the 16 pin that are needed.
I m stuck with WE OE and CE input
Adapter to test 2114 SRAM with
Hilo All-11 courtesy Gonzalo Fernandez Val from Spain
In the HILO ALL-11 select to test a 6264 SRAM, put a 2114 SRAM
in the adapter built and
run the test. If after the test the screen shows the image depicted in the
2114inadapter.jpg
image the 2114 SRAM is good.
I have used in the adapter a 32 pin socket instead of a 28 pin socket in case
I upgrade in
the future the adapter to check for other more bigger types of RAM

the description of a very usefull adapter in order to programm plcc32 rect eprom
and plcc 20, plcc28 Gals
According to the type of component -Pal, Rom- and the size of memories, there
are pins in less and in different positions, or in a perfect correspondence.
In the table there are the pinout of the families of components; I used the
adapter with Intel and Winbond Flash from 256k to 2mb and with GAL 22v10 of
the various manufacturers, always with components that were products in dip
and also in plcc. If there are doubts about pinout of other components see the
respective datasheet.

I have built my adapter by wiring 2 DIL8 socket in this way:
name A the socket you'll insert into the ALL07 DIL40 zif socket,
name B the socket you'll put the pic12c50x into
You have to wire:
A pin1 -> B pin4
A pin2 NC
A pin3 NC
A pin4 -> B pin8
A pin5 NC
A pin6 -> B pin6 (coincident)
A pin7 -> B pin7 (coincident)
A pin8 -> B pin1
If the wiring is correct, when you insert the A socket into the zif you
can verify that:
ZIF pin17 -> PIC pin4 ZIF pin24 -> PIC pin1
ZIF pin18 NC ZIF pin23 -> PIC pin7
ZIF pin19 NC ZIF pin22 -> PIC pin6

This Adapter is necessary to program ispGAL22V10 in ISP mode, which is unique
for Lattice ispGALs only, however this IC can be programmed as well in GAL mode
(simply use any 22V10 GAL mode/programmer).
